If you can package green and bradley for asik and a late 1st, I think it makes all the sense in the world to do it.

Turner and deng both could likely be had for around 10 mil a year, which is what the TPE is worth from the pp,kg trade .

Get a top 5 pick

Pg: Rondo
Sg: exum
Sf: deng or turner
Pf: sully
 C: asik

Then you still have a ton of draft picks

You could make it an easier trade I guess if you don't send bradley, and make it green and clips pick for asik , but don't want bradley walking this off-season with nothing in return....

Not interested in Luol Deng at this stage in the Celtics redevelopment. He is a complementary star. Someone you add after you have your main pieces in place. Boston isn't there yet and adding Deng at $15 mil per season is going to hurt Boston's flexibility to add high priced talent.

I think Jeff Green's cheaper (more moveable) contract is a better piece to work around. I also think J.Green will have much better trade value than Deng will on his new high price long term contract.

I think you're selling Deng short if you think he's only gonna be getting $10 million a year.  He's also a guy I would have no interest in overpaying for.  As Who mentioned, you're probably looking in the $15 million range.

Yeah, Deng is a nice player, but not worth the salary he's likely to garner.

Highly doubtful Deng can be had for $10m per season.  $15m is probably more accurate.

I would rather have Jeff Green than Deng... even for the same money.  And Deng makes a lot more.

Guy doesn't even shoot 30 percent from three.  We need shooting.

Btw if Green drives people nuts on these boards with his play, wait til you see the strife on here if the Celtics are paying Deng $15 million a year and his play.

Why do people keep throwing Bradley into trades that may only marginally help? He is an old school Celtic who plays great defense, gives great effort and is a solid citizen. His shot keeps getting better, and so will the rest of his game.
