The directional question marks that surround the team right now make me anxious. I find myself checking shamsports and hoopshype and trying to think of potential cap clearing trades. The questions come to mind:

1. Can we possibly dump Wallace?
2. Will Rondo be a Celtic through this process?
3. Are the Celtics going to be bad enough for a top pick?
4. What if we do land a top pick? Is that automatically "see ya, Rondo"?
5. And if that's the case, what's the cutoff pick in that, is it possible this pick gets combined with Green/Wallace/Bass for a max player to put next to Rondo? Like, if it drops below the top 3 pick or something?

Is anyone else being absolutely driven mad by the unknown surrounding this team right now?

"link own element"? Is that some kind of html reference or something like a circular link? Or am I just not current with my slang?

I'm fairly interested in what's going to happen but I'm willing to wait and see what happens. I'm not getting too emotionally invested in the draft or who we'll get because the last two big lotteries we were in left a bad taste in my mouth.

seasons like this are tough. but it makes you appreciate winning.

the championship in '08 was an unbelievable rush of emotion for me and others I assume. after enduring the end of the original big 3, the death of lewis, the inept gaston, the pitino/O'Brien era. it all just came to a head for me in the closeout game against the lakers at halftime when they interviewed pierce and all I remember is pierce saying "man, i'm just tryin to win a championship".

all that pain and angst built up over the yrs just went away. and I felt we were gonna roll and we did. and the 2nd half was just one big celebration.

Pppft.

When this season is over I'll be bummed out that I have to wait the whole summer for basketball.

1. No.

Everything else is debatable. One thing's certain is that nothing's certain.

I, too, can't wait to get this forgettable season over with.

If we miss out big time on the lottery (get the 7th or 8th pick, or DA loses his mind, for example), then i'll be bummed out. Imagine entering 2014-2015 with practically the same roster.

I personally like it. Not too much stress in watching the games, and this gives us a chance to find hidden gems like Chris Johnson or someone else. I like that we get to watch the start if a new era, because if not then the winning just isn't as satisfying.

I mostly agree.  I think we've seen what we're going to see from the younger guys on the team, and at this point I just want to see the vets gone as soon as possible and I want to know where our pick is going to be in the draft and what Danny is going to do with that pick.

I don't doubt that there will be some more ups and downs over the rest of the season, but it's not something I particularly need to see.  This team doesn't play a fun or entertaining style, and they aren't really competitive against most good teams that they face.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Get rid of Green.  Try to dump Wallace as well.  Get a top pick and sign some free agents.

Wallace is such an ugly piece with his contract to be on a rebuilding team.

Sooner we are shed of him and his contract ,  then the team had room for a real star to join the team.

I agree mostly.

I understand what we need to do and I am on board, but I just want to pull the Band-Aid.

Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

There is no pleasure whatsoever to be found in watching the kind of grotesque basketball this team is playing.

None.

The season cannot end soon enough.

Agreed. If I could sleep through the rest of this season, I'd do it.

I wonder whether Jeff Green could provide some tips on how one does such a thing.
