If you don't like or believe in Josh Smith, this trade is not for you!

I would move Sully and KO along with a pick to Detroit if they would take Crash and Lee and give me Charlie's expiring contract.

I want a team of Rondo/Smith, always have and always will. Josh Smith at the PF position is an awesome basketball player. He also is a draw as far as enticing another superstar to join him and Rondo.

Why we do this deal

We get Josh Smith a more polished and ready to compete player, who more than likely is better than Sully will ever be, especially defensively.

We get Charlie V's 8 Mill expiring deal to add to Humps, Bogan's, and Marshons.

Bass is a perfect backup for Josh Smith.

Why Detroit does this deal

This experiment isn't working out, they could build around a Sully-Drummond frontcourt which would be pretty awesome. Greg Monroe becomes a great trade chip to bring in a good wing or SG.

They get one of our better picks.

Lee's deal is an expiring contract in a year and he's a solid player

Wallace is a poison pill for next season but they need a SF and he will be an expiring before ya know it.

Our team would now look like this

Rondo/AB/Green/Smoove/Vitor

Gotta get that Asik deal done. Or should this deal include Monroe and we add in another pick or 2?

Josh Smith has been a major disappointment this year. I used to love JSmoove but at this point I think we are giving up way too many assets for him.

Tell ya the truth, I'd rather keep Sullinger and go after a legit center (Asik, Larry Sanders, etc.)

I agree with mani_lui that I would've liked Smoove before, but I just don't think he's the kind of player that would improve the Celtics and I'd actually rather stick with Sully at that position.

Smith strikes me as the kind of guy who would impress me some nights, and make me wanna pull the hair out of my head other nights.

Yup, this is a deal I would definitely make with Detroit.

Would rather have Monroe than Smith.

Not the worst trade, if you can stomach seeing CV in green.

he probably wouldn't play a single minute for the Celtics.  He's an expiring contract.

sully > smith and monroe

sully stays

no way danny unloads sully KO and a pick to get rid of wallace it kills all our value. we could run at melo but i like our chances via trade

The vitor show would be pretty cool to see but we have to many pieces to just trade in for cap when we could just be patient

Nice line up but we need to stay greedy and keep stock piling

i say go for the long run make that trade for stoudamire and pick up bynum for cheap

With amare we would free our cap next season and if we got bynum we should go for that 2 year window same with asik.

bynum/amare/vitor
sully/olynyk
green/bogans
AB/brooks
Rondo/Crawford

add in our rookies next season still a solid team with more overall value
