Adding tyson Chandler would help this team More than Melo.

Actually a guy like Lou Williams playing at the SG along with a legit big (Asik, Monroe, Varejao, etc)  to play next to Sullinger would elevate us quite a bit.

A decent scoring, defensive big or a scoring big with decent defense plus an elite scoring wing, be it a 2 or a 3 and were good to go!

Be patient, we could send some mid-level contracts for a big expiring in 2015, get financial flexibility and more minutes to develop the young kids (and better odds at the mid-lottery).

We could get a guy like James Young in the draft, or maybe Andrew Harrison if he keeps his name in. They might develop into good or even great SGs in the NBA. A guy like McGary or a totally different player like Isiah Austin could be solid players. We have 2 first round picks, trust Danny.

Keep gathering good pieces, and try to get Marc Gasol or another reliable big man to pair with Sullinger. Don't rush the rebuild and we'll be good.

Auerbach always built inside out...or tried to. Russell was tops in defense @ USF...Cowens was a fighter on D and Robert made it to the HOF...so, Ainge matched him with Garnett and got himself a title.

Any dominant player would help this roster, but, it will always be how the roster is built. When Red drafted Larry, Maxwell tells how Red sat him down and told him he was now going to be a "defensive player." Rondo the passer and Perkins the clogger got a ring with three of the greatest shooters in league history. Whose dominant and how?

Havlicek was coming off the bench...he wasn't a starter (always)...was he dominant?

I hold that "dominant" is fine, but, it is a team sport. The Pacers have some guys who might be dominant or almost dominant on another team. It is working for those guys as a team now. Sum of the parts or whatever. A great two guard sure would be nice, but he gonna be a lonely great two guard on this roster, capitaine.
