Doesnt this make the Asik trade (for Bass, Lee and a first) more likely???!!

So take Lee's disenchantment and add in the injuries to Beverly, Harden and Lin and you get.....

From ESPN:

Houston Rockets point guard Patrick Beverley fractured his right hand during the team's 114-97 win against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night in Auburn Hills, Mich.

According to the Houston Chronicle, the second-year player suffered a break to his fourth metacarpal and likely will be sidelined four to six weeks. Beverley had 10 points and two assists in 15 minutes against the Pistons before leaving.

The injury is the latest to hit Houston's backcourt.

Leading scorer James Harden sat out Saturday night's game with a sprained right ankle. The All-Star guard is averaging 23.9 points per game, although he was held to only 12 in Friday's 114-81 loss at Indiana.

Jeremy Lin, meanwhile, missed his fourth straight game due to back spasms.

And add the nagging injury to Greg Smith to the equation:

"...after the first half, however, the Rockets were reduced to just 8 as Greg Smith and Patrick Beverley suffered injuries that knocked them out for the rest of the game and potentially into the future.

Smith's injury was a reinjury of his previous knee problem..."

They still have Aaron Brookes, right?

Brooks and Francisco Garcia are the two other "guards" listed on their roster...

This season ,the former is already averaging 17 minutes a game; Garcia is at 21 minutes.

I don't think a trade is more likely, as now Houston couldn't trade any players sent to them by the deadline. Thats why they imposed the deadline, so they could flip whatever they get.
You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.
