Jordan Crawford, Boston Celtics

Don't laugh. No, there's no rule that requires a division leader to have an All-Star representative, but Crawford might not need it. Crawford always has been a better passer than his reputation dictated, but no one saw this coming. Crawford has notched as many 10-assist games this season as Jose Calderon, Damian Lillard, Eric Bledsoe and George Hill combined (three). All told, Crawford owns the fourth-highest PER among East guards. Brad Stevens, miracle worker.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Why not starting All Star?
Okay well it's not laughable to suggest considering how many PG's are cooked in the East with injuries.
He could get it the way he's playing. If Jrue Holiday made it last season with his stats then Crawford is easily in the running.

Jrue Holiday per 36 Philly 2012-13

J Craw per 36 2013-14

better turnovers, threes, same points, slightly lower assists (with arguably worse shooters), better FT, better offensive and defensive ratings, better win shares for Craw.

Don't laugh- Craw is comin for the AS weekend baby.
I was once a hater, then I remembered that Celtic pride is contagious.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Right now he's behind players like Irving, Jennings, Teague and Wall in ppg and apg. He'd need to really shoot well until the ASG to have a shot and probably hope that Deron doesn't start playing well and Rondo doesn't play much.

I don't think he beats out D-Will, John Wall, or Kyrie Irving as a starting (fan voted) guard, and there's an awful lot of games left between now and the All-Star break to begin thinking about the possible reserves.

Why does it feel like everyone wants the regular season to be played in fast-forward every year?
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.
