What do people think of him?
He seems to produce really well in his limited playing time.
His per 36 (and I know these aren't too reliable) stats are 25 points and 19 rebounds. His stats last year were roughly 6 points and 5 rebounds a game. Extrapolate that to per36 and it's 14 points 10 rebounds. Last season shot 62% from the field.
Could he be a possible throw in if we go after Asik??

He's an adequate backup. He has a reputation of poor defense.
Houston isn't trading both Asik and Smith without getting an above-average back-up center in return or lining up a separate deal to do so.

He doesn't play much defense. Gives up about as much as he gets.
Still young (and inexperienced) though so hopefully he can fix that and become a more effective player down the road. Good offensive player and rebounder. A good skilled player for a backup C. Unlikely to ever be a starter quality player.
Will be the replacement backup C for Asik behind Dwight Howard.

As anyone who sees my trade posts knows, he's a binky of mine (Jeff Taylor of the Cats being the other leader in the clubhouse).
I'm very bullish on his upside -- I'd like to see the Cs scrape him out of Houston somehow.

We already have a more polished player of that sort in Vitor. I'd rather just stick with him as our backup center going forward.

Greg is only playing 4.3 minutes per game and has only played in 4 games. Is he hurt and just NOT being used?/
