Boston trades Green, Bass and Lee

Receives Ben Gordon and MKG

Detroit trades Smith

Receives Green and Bass

Bobcats trade Gordon and MKG

Receives Smith and Lee.

Boston trims more future payroll and adds a younger, good potential SF.

Detroit gets a better SF (Smith is a better player when he is a PF) a deeper bench (though they could take Lee instead of Bass) and save money in the future to resign Monroe.  This should help their playoff push.

The Bobcats improve there PF spot and should help their playoff push.

I don't think Detroit does this.  However, I was just thinking about a very similar deal with Charlotte.  Maybe simplify it to Green and Lee for Gordon and MKG.  I actually think Charlotte would strongly consider that.

You mean dealing for the guy with a broken hand?

As stated in 1 of the 13 other Charlotte trade ideas, Jeff Taylor is a better player than MKG, and certainly the better value. Swap him in, and another piece from Charlotte, and do the deal directly.

Gordon, Taylor, Biyombo for Green, Lee and (Bass or Bogans -- i don't care which).

A year ago I would have loved this trade.  MKG hasn't shown much improvement however.  I'm not a big Green guy, but no thanks.
