Lakers have dug themselves a deep hole ,   Way overpaid Kobe,  idiots.......a big market money and name over wins .   Hired the awful MDA who has a different style coaching than the older vet players LA recruits so often.

I happen to think the remaining Buss family isn't into basketball and as bright as the old man was.......they are too busy being rich to worry about the future,

It's going to take the sale of the Lakers to new  owners to fix that situation . Hopefully this wlll take a LONG time to transpire .

Unfortunately, I would bet on Lakers.  Deeper pockets, more desirable destination.

The draft picks the C's have are great but that is a slow road.  I don't think the Cs are in a bad place, they just need more to go right on their path.

Oh wow. No contest. Even in a rugged Conference Laker Management will win one first. Jerry West set the template long ago. As Johnny Most would say we've been *fiddlin and diddlin*.

No matter what the reality of the situation, I'm always going to answer "Celtics" to this question.

absolutely, positively, unquestionably, without doubt, without even a modicum of shame, THIS is the only conceivable and possible correct answer to the question.

mods, could you please ban for life all those who did not answer "celtics" to this question?  ;)

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Yup.  To me, that salary handed to Kobe is one of the dumbest move they've made recently.  And you're right because in giving that kind of salary to Kobe, it seems like they're only paying for Kobe's name.  They care more about selling Merchandise and filling arenas than the future of the team.

I have my money on the Celtics on this one.  Lakers, as deep of a pocket they have, I believe they'll keep shooting themselves in the foot for the next few years.

I always said when I left the Celtics, I could not go to heaven, because that would
be a step down. I am pure 100 percent Celtic. I think if you slashed my wrists, my
