Do you think at 6"6 he could also play the 3?  And are the Knicks willing to trade such a young player?  They went crazy on draft night for him.   But with all this talk, this is on trade I would look at with them.  With them trying to win now, and help Melo would they bite?  I'm not sure

Bass/Lee/Wallace

Stat and Hardaway?

Crawford/Rondo/Pressy
Bradley/Hardaway/Brooks/Bogans
Green/Hardaway
Sulley/KO/Stat/Humpries
Victor/KO

Bogans/Humpries and Brooks at the deadline would also return the C's at least another pic in next years draft.

I think Hardaway is the reason why the Knicks are hell-bent on trading Shumpert.

I think you are right....4 year deal at two million is a nice contract.  The kid has potential.  Pip dream on that trade.  Be nice to move our longest role player contracts for them both.

There might be another reason. Shumpert got "secret surgery".

I think the Knicks like Hardaway a lot. So far he looks like the second coming of JR Smith in terms of talent. I have no idea what his attitude is like. Hopefully not as wacky as Smith.

Anyway, I think NY wants to keep him, especially over a pupu plater of role players.

I agree they "should" and probably do.  Just thought maybe since JR is the starter they would pull the trigger to get out of Stats contract and get some roll players with heart.  Lee and Bass, Wallace always play hard.  And play better defense then anyone on their team besides a healthy Chandler.

The Knicks should be patient. In a year and a half they can be big time players in free agency, if they let the contracts of Amare and friends expire in the summer of 2015.

At this point I think NY needs a rebounding beast at center to replace/help Chandler. Guys like Bass and Wallace and Lee are probably too redundant of what they already have in Bargnani, Smith, Hardaway, and Artest.

Meanwhile NY thinks a guy like Shumpert is good enough to get Rondo or even Faried. They are looking for a home run somewhere (which they shouldn't get).

Seems like quite a few good players have come out of this draft, despite it being supposedly a very weak draft.

Steve Adams, MCW, Hardaway, Archie Goodwin (who looked great last night), Macklemore and Kelly.

Not to mention there are some long term projects like Giannis, Lucas Noguiera, and Nerlens Noel.

Anyone else think Tim Hardaway Jr looks more like Antawn Jamison than Tim Hardaway Sr?

Hard to imagine that mustache was ever in style.
