Trade Idea with the Suns

I don't usually do trade ideas but I was messing around with the trade machine and came up with this.

The Suns get 2 Veterans and the chance to compete for the 8th spot in the west.

We get rid of Geralds huge contract, the bass haters gets rid of Bass (ps I like Bass)
We get another big, his 14 million is expiring.
We get cap space next year.

I don't know, I'm not a GM or a wanna be GM, just thought it would be a cool idea.

First thoughts: I'm not sure that the Suns A) want to compete for the playoffs or B) want to add to their already crowded wing and front-court.

The Suns aren't looking for the 8th seed; the fact that they traded away a healthy center for an injured player and a first-round pick make that obvious.  Considering that and the fact that they have their books pretty much clear, there's not a chance of this happening.

The Suns havnt added salary in several years, have they?  They are cheap and I don't think they will add much until they are prepared to compete.

Don't think they need to -- GM of the Suns was Asst GM of the Cs for the last 5 years.
