Who are you, and what have you done with Jordan Crawford?

Easily the best game Crawford has played as a Celtic.  Efficient shooting, great playmaking, no turnovers.  Need him to play a bit better on defense, but on offense he played an excellent game. 

Have to wonder if a lot of Wallace's media outbursts were an effort to try to get this kind of play out of Crawford.  Because of everybody on the team, he's the one I'd expect (rightly or wrongly) to be looking out for his own stats.

Well played.  Yes, I am shocked to see how well he is playing.  I like that he makes to pass out of the pick and roll as soon as the "roller" is open, even though it is not an immediate assist opportunity.  Moving the ball leads to even more ball movement.

Crawford has bought in.  I love it.

He was doing this last year, contrary to what people want to believe.

His problem is not stat-padding or unwillingness to pass -- it is lapses in judgement when he chucks a three before the play has even developed just because he's open. By the way, he's shown a lot of improvement with that too.

Props.  Kozlodev has seen the truth.  I don't know how no one else has seen that this guy can obviously pass.

He's always had the tools to be successful, but what's surprised me most is the way he's calmly gone about running the offense - which I had serious doubts he could do at this level.

Happy to take the occasional circus shot from him if he plays like he's been playing. Those shots are completely makeable for a guy like Crawford anyway lol

Last season, he was useful when Wall was out, even averaging 19.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 6.1 assists in the 13 games of December.

A very big question is how he will handle losing his starting job (as he should) when Rondo comes back.  This is a guy who tweeted his December stat line last season to signal his displeasure at being benched.

The knock against Crawford has been his attitude and his unwillingness to play defense.  Those are problems that could become prominent again if he becomes displeased with a decreased role.

I'm skeptical that players like this are able to hold it together for more than a season, but maybe Brad Stevens is the kind of coach who can get through to a player like Crawford.

I don't really know what to make of him.  He's a career 40% shooter.  I was under the impression he was a complete mentalcase.  The Wizards gave him away for literally nothing.  We traded an injured player for him.

The main complaints being that he was a disaster when he ran point for Washington and that his shot selection was beyond horrid.  They do bring up the fact he had terrible teammates in his defense.

Fwiw, I noticed his FG% and 3P% have gone up each season.

2010-11:  39%/24%
2011-12:  40%/29%
2012-13:  42%/33%
2013-14:  49%/42%*

*So far... He's also 14/14 from the line right now.  I mean that can't last right?  The other thing SImmons/Lowe mention is that Crawford is incredibly streaky.  Perhaps he's in a hot streak right now and he'll start bricking it soon.

It does remind me a bit of when Ainge brought in Ricky Davis.  He became a more efficient scorer in Boston's system.  Crawford seems like he'd be a classic buy low/sell high candidate.

It's a small sample but he played well in 20 mins, the first 4 games he was 57% FG (44% from 3), 2rbs, 3ast, and 1 to per game. While starting in 30mins he is 48% FG (36% from 3), 3rbs, 6 ast, and 1 turn per game.

He can still get 20mins when RR comes back.

At this point Brooks is probably the guy who should be on attitude watch. Bradley, Crawford and Lee are all playing very well ahead of him.

By experimenting with Bradley at the point until these last four games, he may have kept Danny from seeing enough to extend AB's (and even JC's) contract.

But that's a good problem to have.

Crawford deserves a ton of praise; he's probably the MVP of the team so far. If he keeps creating for his teammates like this, he will deserve a nice contract next year and I'll be excited to have him long term.

I mean sure, the guy we saw last night could live up to his namesake -- Jamal Crawford.

As others have mentioned, though, Crawford has had stretches before where his shot is falling and he's playing pretty well.  I guess we'll see if he can keep this going.
