It appears he has the same drive and team first mentality as KG.

No Watt is on some type of PED, I don't think KG was/is.  The man wears a knee brace on his arm for ****.

Nothing but vitamins and hard work for him
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

I mean, the guy only plays defense.

That puff piece is 75% sanctimonious nonsense, though.

Quote
Watt is the rare commodity: A modern-era player who cares more about what he can do for his team and the NFL than what they can do for him.

Too often today, players care more about their status and their stardom than they do about the game. It is more about the paycheck, the cars, the jewelry, the clubs, the women. It is about being somebody, a name, a face, a celebrity, a star. It is less about doing a job, respecting the craft, attending to details and doing everything necessary from Monday to Sunday to win a game.

Some players say they love the game, but in reality they love what the game can do for them. They love that they can go out, draw attention and be somebody.

That's certainly not the case with Watt.

Because when he shows up on TV shows, or as a public speaker, shows up at fundraisers and autograph signings, he's doing it FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME!!!!

I love J.J. Swatt. Dude is a beast. But Idk if I would call him tha KG of tha NFL just because they have things in common as players of their own sport. They do have drive and a team first mentality.  Both also hate losing, they're about team success, and they both love what they do. Those are guys anyone would love to have on their team in any sport. And those are guys you don't get rid of.

Though Swatt only plays defense, him and KG are both known for defense. But for me it's great that one of my favorite big men of all time (KG) and Swatt have some things in common as players.

Off-Topic: Glad Cushing is back and I'm glad he's cleared to play against tha 49ers tonight. Go Texans!
