Probably one of the best interviews I've heard from Rondo.

Heard this earlier.  Fantastic interview.  When he wants to be, Rondo can be a really engaging and impressive interview.  Very honest and funny. I loved when they were talking about him getting frustrated with other players earlier in his career, when they didn't catch on to things quickly.

Gotta wonder if this indicates a concerted effort from Rondo to come off as more approachable, or just they way he is when he answers questions from people who don't spend all of their time trying to convince their audience what a punk he is.

I heard that he did not come off nearly as well when interviewing with other yesterday.  I just think Toucher and Rich did a good job of making him comfortable.  He did seem to clam up a bit more at the end, when they got more serious, talking about trades, his injury, and Chris Paul.  And I imagine others might have just gone right for that hard stuff.

I really think it depends on the person interviewing him. I think he'd give a really good one to Jackie, but let's say Felger  :-X interviewed him I think it'd be tense from the start..lol.

Also, in this interview they didn't start with the obvious (injury update)question, they didn't touch on that until the very end of the interview. They had good flow.

I'd say Jackie has written just as much unflatterring things about Rondo as Felger has said.

She flip flops all the time tho

From what I've heard the last couple of days, Rondo seems to be in a really good place right now.  He seems more composed and mature than ever.  I'm so excited to see how he does on the court as the unquestioned leader this season.

I guess the pessimistic view would be that it's easy to sound positive on the first day of training camp, but we'll see how he reacts when things get rocky during the season.  I'm not a pessimist, though.  I'm an optimist when it comes to my Celtics, and I'm pumped for this season.

Yeah but Jackie's a great journalist and interviewer. Felger is Felger.

Excellent interview, also.

At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Honestly, I don't care about this type of stuff much.  Who cares if he gives good, or bad, interviews.  I like it when players tell media types to "go pound sand".

I think Felger is decent.  Always asked Danny,  Doc, Wyc good questions. Had a pretty epic impromptu John Henry interview as well.

Jackies a good journalist but god some of those sit downs she does are just like these sickeninglove fests
