I very much like Paul taking up the HGH issue. To my knowledge, there is little to no evidence that HGH is harmful in any way that is more significant that the drugs which are currently allowed (eg the wide variety of pain killers used 'legally') in the locker room...This issue has been completely lost in the context of the baseball controversy, due to the steroid era, but HGH is not steroids...

Most fans view taking performance enhancers to be cheating, they probably don't lose much sleep over the health risks to the athletes who take them.

With due respect to all of us as fans, we should not be CP3's primary concern. But to BBall Tim's point,  I am not convinced that HGH is qualitatively different, as a performance enhancer, than many drugs that are currently allowed and regularly prescribed, or for that matter, overseas 'experimental' surgeries, which are also allowed....To me, this is all about public perception and the politics of steroids, and CP3 might be doing the whole conversation a favor, were he to cut through the hysteria and hype....

The first thing I would go after is flopping fines as well if I was head of the players union.  It is taking money out of the players pockets.

Make the NBA fix the real issue (only calling offensive fouls when a player gets knocked down and calling to many phantom defensive calls)

His job is to protect the players wallets.

As for HGH, clearly negotiating tactic.  Asking for a lot more then they want so when the come back to closer to what they really want, it looks like they gave things up to the owners.  (the owners do similar things)

I don't see any hysteria or hype. And the fans probably aren't Chris Paul's concern but the league probably feels differently about that. Public perception matters when you depend on that public to spend their money on your product.
