yeah, like the move to move our best players for draft picks. or the move to take on the contracts of gerald wallace and humphries. our moving a top 2 coach for a draft pick.
That's rebuilding, not tanking.

If trading your two best players for significantly worse players on worse contracts and late first round picks is considered a rebuild, this is going to be terrible.

I feel like a lot of people forget what true rebuilding was like. Especially since we were in the gutter for ~12-14 years. Getting those unprotected picks for two 35+ year olds is great value. The 2014 pick is likely to be late, but the other ones? I'm feeling pretty good about those honestly. They will help big time in any future trades if we don't actually use the picks.

Rebuilding is like this. It's the nature of the beast. There's retooling, rebuilding, or tanking. It happens in that order. When you fail to retool for any number of reasons (a lot related to luck), you are forced to rebuild. Tanking happens when you get desperate. We aren't at that point, and I really hope we don't get there.

Rondo was not traded.

It 's less terrible than the alternative scenario of losing those two for nothing to retirement in 1-2 years.
