I have honestly been falling in love with this guy. Definitely much better than Fab Melo...

I'd like to see him on the team, but I thought CI was going overseas next season? Is this true, because lots of people are acting like he's going to be there?

Just wondering. I thought I heard that.

Some people think that the Celtics can stash Iverson overseas for a year to deal with their roster crunch, but Iverson's agent has said that playing in Europe is a plan B to trying to make it in the NBA, which would suggest he wants to sign and would try to go overseas rather than the D-League if cut before the regular season.

There had been some talk of his going overseas before he was drafted, but he quite clearly said when he was up here getting introduced that his goal was to make the team this year.

He's played so well I can't imagine the C's won't give him one of those longer 2nd-round contracts and aim to get him into their rotation this year.

Colton s fighting for rebounds and mixingitup with far more passion that Fab....... I don't think Fab understands  he maybe headed back to the Amazon.

I'd be scratching  and fighting ,  fouling  like crazy to show I was at least in the thick of the action......he just disappears out there.

like Colton's non backing down attitude .......like Perk

Agreed, really like Iverson's tougness out there.  Like Perk he has that willingness to take (and give) a good beating, but unlike Perk (with his infamous scowl) Colton seems to just take the hit and keep on smiling.

To be honest I'd be pretty content if he is our backup center this season.  I think he is already an upgrade over the likes of Jason Collins and Ryan Hollins, who were our starting centers during our last two playoff runs.  He has the same intangibles (toughness, IQ and fundamentals) that have kept Jason Collins in the NBA for so long but he's stronger, more mobile, a better rebounder and more skilled on offense.

If Melo had Perk's attitude and desire, he'd be an All Star

if he needs NBA experieince to be ready to play or the C's why not just let him do it here.  This year is as good a time as any

I think he can be easily compared to the Collins twins. His role will be no more than an enforcer role that encompasses playing rough defense and giving hard fouls.
