I would NEVER include Bradley to get Gortat!! NEVER.

Smitty77

If you bothered to read the post, it was already suggested that Bradley might be overkill and Crawford and a second rounder might be all it takes in addition to Bass.

Of course, like others have posted, Crawford might not be enough. To each their own, but bottom line is that a trade that involves Bass + others is certainly a possibility.

Sorry dude.  I was just not going to reread the entire post.  Lazy on my part I know:-))

Eh, don't worry. My apologies for expecting you to scroll down. Anyway, I'm not trying to disagree with you. I love Gortat and think he's very underrated having played under Dwight's shadow and then moving to a directionless Phoenix. I wouldn't mind having him in green whatsoever, but I question whether right now would be a good timing.

Besides, like someone else mentioned, he's an expiring and we could certainly opt to sign him next offseason instead without losing assets.

With the Suns drafting Len and Channing Frye due back from injury, this trade makes more sense for them.

Crawford can score the ball for them and he is sort of redundant with us getting Marshon Brooks.

I really think that Gortat would be a keeper that we could and should re-sign after his contract ends this year!!  Yes, he just turned 29, but he is a VERY young 29.  His first 4 years in the league he played very few minutes and he has averaged less than 30 minutes his last three years!!

Thoughts??  I think the time is NOW!!!

Why?

Gortat only makes sense for a team trying to contend.  That's not the C's this year or next.

The trade doesn't make sense to the Suns.  Why would they trade Gortat for that and pick up an additional year of salary in Bass?  The answer is they wouldn't...

Can Gortat run the floor?  Because we are going to be running this year, I bet.

Because defenders like Avery come along about every 20 years or so.
Yeah... um, no.

For the first round pick and a look-see at Crawford.

Smitty77

P.S. Gortat will NEVER re-up with the Suns at the end of the year.  They want to get something for him.
