Is Tanking Worth it?

I'm not sure why you'd ask if tanking is worth it. After all, we are the Boston Celtics and we do not tank. 

Except for like... a few times when it already happened.

That man lies his butt off.  It's great.

We aren't "tanking" in the sense the players are going to be throwing games.  But we're definitely fielding a team that's going to struggle to compete.

When you could end up with wiggins yes. I'd also be very happy with randle or smart, but not overly sold on Parker.

Here is what i am hoping for and tell me if you think it is doable. Tank this year and next year. get two top 5 picks. Both of which turn into all stars. then flip assets and other picks for two proven all stars. That would then give us 4 all stars. Just try to get young proven all stars if possible to have more time with our young drafted all stars. Voila! we have a contender for years then. I think it can be done in a 3 to 5 year window.

I'm not a fan of tanking, but if this is the team we are going to roll with I will hope they lose many games.

IMO the NBA should change the lottery system so every team not in the playoffs has an equal chance to prevent tanking.
