Red once stated in his book Let me tell you a Story something similar to "There is nothing worse than an aging superstar." This was in regards Dominique Wilkins when the celts signed him. I'm sure Red would be happy to see the celts thinking long term and landing four first rounders for KG, Doc, Pierce, and Terry. Surely the lack of loyalty to Pierce is questionable and every Celtic fan would like to see him retire in green. But face it KG has very little left in the tank and Pierce will need to adjust to a new roll. He can not get his own shot at will anymore and does not have the ability to consistently dominate games at the offensive end anymore. Terry appears to be done. For a team to succeed Pierce he will need to adjust and take a secondary or possibly 6th man roll. Red was per usual right. New Jersey will not win a title with this group, and will require landing a big time free agent superstar to be a legitimate contender.
