In the very unlikely scenario that the deal goes through, what will Pierce think? What will Rondo think?

Pierce doesn't wanna retire seeing KG still playing, he'll feel betrayed. He got put onto another dumb team that isn't gonna be a contender. No matter which way you look at it, the haul coming back from LAC is not gonna make us a first or second seed. Is he gonna stay? Is he gonna find a new home? He's said he can still play: on a team not called the Celtics, which he's been part of... forever? On a team not with Doc? On a team not with KG?

What's Rondo gonna think? The coach he's been with since he was drafted is leaving? His best friend and "father" KG is going away? We all know he's the leader of this Boston team; Rondo isn't gonna let Danny do this deal, is he?

And say Pierce retires, what's Rondo gonna do? Is he just gonna stick around in the dumps and never contend until he's 35? Are we gonna trade Rondo? In that case, Sully is screwed.

This deal is gonna have a lot of repurcussions; I don't see it going through because problems will be abound.

Best case: Pierce for Eric Gordon - PP is bought out and joins the Clips.

Worst case: Pierce is traded to Houston or Dallas and we get a decent draft pick as compensation [as well as a guy like Marion - yuck]. Pierce is bought out and joins the Clips...I really don't see a scenario where Pierce doesn't get bought out and joins LA. I imagine the proposed trade is 'assumed' to include PP [but in a roundabout way] and that is why we will get Jordan, Bledsoe, and two picks.

As for Rondo, this will either become his team and he will be the man or a deal with Sac for Cousins could be an option [with Bledsoe taking over the point].

This is going to be a much different Cs squad - like it or not.

It's pretty apparent that Pierce will be released or traded then released. I bet he ends up joining KG and Doc in Clipperland.

Hopefully Pierce gets moved to a team in need of salary cap space and then waived so he can join Doc and KG with LAC. Dallas, Houston, Toronto, Indiana, New Orleans, Orlando, Golden-State all have expiring deals/bad deals they'd love to move for Pierce just to waive.

Rondo should be excited he is finally going to be the man on this team. He is the leader, the star, "the big one". If this deal goes through it moves our rebuild timeline up significantly. No we won't be able to compete next year, but if things work out we are maybe 2-3 years away from being a serious contender again.

Rondo's 27 either he can be the leader of that group or if he wants to bail for greener pastures then we can trade him for more assets.

The way you talk about it is as if these guys are being forced out, when in reality it seems as if all parties involved have acknowledged its time to move on.

  There's no way KG would play more than a year or two in any case and there's a chance he'll retire now, I'm sure Rondo's well aware his days of playing with KG are numbered in any case.

I don't have the link, but it was a video that came out where Rondo was giving an interview and I think was playing connect 4 with the interviewers.  It was recent and it was real. 

I have heard Rondo say tons of good things about Doc.  I don't know where anyone would think that Rondo is pushing Doc out.  That sounds like it was made up based on all the Rondo interviews that I have heard.
