Well one piece of news this offseason that won't bum me out.  So that's nice.

I just think DA and DOC are taking the wrong angle to beat the Heat.    Trying to play small with the Heat an't working, they simply have the best athlete on the planet.

DA and DOC had the right idea with Shaq, Perk, JO, and KG .... blast the Heat apart and crush em with big tuff front line.  No sissy , let s all be friends ball.

I agree. Small ball works for Miami for one reason only: The Heat have the best player on the planet. Take him away and they wouldn't get far running with a small lineup.

Hurray....

I'm very happy about Doc.

I remember that lineup and for just a brief few moments, it looked like we had some depth at bigs. Too bad it only last about 2 months.

When Shaq and everybody was healthy, we was downright scary. So much wish we could have carried that into the playoffs but by time we made it there, Perk was gone, Shaq was done, JO was on his last hop (not jump) and KG couldn't compensate for the lack of depth.

I hope now that Doc is back they look at bringing in some bigs. I hope it's obvious to them that they need to change things. But anyway....

Yay Doc!  :)

Now lets get a couple SERIOUS BIGS and dump the worthless swingmen and junk on the team.

I am at a loss why anyone expected anything different. It's not like Ainge was going to fire him, and Doc committed way past the perceived KG run in 2011.

Completely agree.  If Doc hadn't wanted to be around past the KG Era, he never would have signed the deal he did.

No surprise he's back, especially at the dollars he's getting paid.

great news.  honestly, the only way doc would not return is if he decided he wanted to move on.

Hurray....

we gripe a lot ( I know I'm bad) , and I'm on Doc's case all the time,  but the Celtics could do A LOT WORSE I think.

That said....I think Doc is still learning and improving as coach .

Rather be in our shoes with Doc than the Lakers with MDA.

Oh really. Could they do a lot worse? Thats funny, cause I dont think its possible to do any better.

Maybe spare us of your opinions on Doc cause they are about as inaccurate as can possibly be.

I don't think I will....... ;D    I said  like Doc  does that bother you ?  Celtics could do alot worse than Glenn .......there are losts of worse coaches  ....he is a good coach....... glade he is returning....but there is always somebody better who could come along ...don't kid yourself........until then I happy he is coach  aren;t you ?

Why is Ainge confirming this? We all already knew that if Danny is here and Doc is available, we're keeping Doc.

The real question mark is, is Doc retiring yet?

Great news, unless some of you would rather have D'Antoni once he gets fired (which is sure to happen) - personally I'd rather pass and stick to one of the top coaches in the league, even if he does do perculiar things at times.
