Kevin Garnett may undergo offseason surgery to shave down bone spurs in his ankles, according to sources affiliated with the Boston Celtics.

Two of Garnett’s teammates privately speculated he is considering retirement.

"I have no clue," Doc Rivers admitted. "I was positive last year [he was coming back]. I'm not as sure this year."

Is he undergoing surgery with an eye towards prolonging his career?

Or is this to improve his quality of life post-basketball?

I bet he can play at least as good after surgery next year as he did this year even being a year older.

Allen seemed to do good .

Yeah, if he were to get the surgery soon, he would probably be ready for training camp. Removal is good.
My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.

61 rebounds over the last 5 playoff games. Dude can still play. Leading (led) the league in rebounds per game in the playoffs (so far). Dude can still play.

Spurs in his ankles or not, dude can still play.

Guy doesn't need surgery, he needs to replenish his calcium deficiency/malabsorption with proper nutrition.

It definitely helped Ray, and KG can definitely still play. He just needs a decent backup that can log 20-25 minutes.
