Value and perceived value is a double-edged sword...DA will try to sell high while the other teams will try to buy low...you can't have it both ways...this is the fatal flaw...why do you think DA never traded the Capt...he could never get value...some type of lateral move/trade is the best DA will be able to do...and only if there is a desperate team out there...if it is true that the Capt and KG are done...do people really think that DA is going to reel in some big stud...get real...and...if the Capt and KG are not done and can still be productive and contribute...then...why are people thinking about trading them...so the question is begged..."Why make a lateral move at best?"...just to ease a twitching finger...the Capt and KG are still very productive and can continue to be in fewer minutes...more to the point...you can't replace the value that they bring in passing on the Championship pedigree to Rondo, Green, Bradley, Sully...not to mention the fact that they both should retire as Celtics..and i don't mean a 1-day retirement...it's just not the Celtic Way...this is a no-brainer...and not just based on sentimental reasons...they both stay...the only hiccup would be health...then...they just straight retire...but...the Capt already said he wants to play one more year...
