The way this team is playing right now, I can't see us taking more than 1 game in this series. The personnel is just not able to sustain the necessary level of play for more than a half -- whether it's age, fatigue, injuries, or mental issues, you pick.

We might win 1 game, but our chances died the moment Rondo was injured

I feel confident too
All the Celtics gotta do is win game 3, and it would make the Knicks feel unsure bout beating the Celtics. This is unknown territory for them

I know regular season is regular season but we have played good teams really tough earlier in the season when it mattered.

Just think about the 2 Miami games (both without Rondo) one without KG. The last 2 NYC games at home were meaningless and I think both without KG.

I agree with the OP.  I still think we can turn this around.  I expect Kevin Garnett to be more of a factor back in Boston.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

We have clearly shown we can out play the Knicks in the 1st half of games (even when we are not playing all that well either)...then in the 2nd half we completely crap the bed.

Case in point:

The Knicks are averaging 45.5 first half points and 40.5 second half points.

The Knicks are literally beating the Celtics in one quarter and that's how they win each game.

New York ran us out of our own building TWICE. And it wasn't even close.

So I don't know, really...

I have to admit, I don't quite remember this game.

A three point loss doesn't seem like getting run out of the building, though.

That 3-point loss may not seem like it, but...yeah. We've struggled holding our own fort against the Knicks in past several meetings (including last year).

Rondo hit a jumper to make it 84-82 Knicks with just under 4 minutes remaining.

Winnable game.

With no Rondo, I don't like our chances of beating NYK in a 7-game series.

lol

It was close. And the last game against the Knicks, I believe that's when KG was out all together.

I say, once KG gets back into a rhythm we win. Otherwise, I'm glad I have something to do on Friday so I won't see the game.

Hahah, winning this series is a long shot. But winning Game 3 might be doable.

If Game 3 is lost, then that pretty much goes our season. Unless we pull the impossible and win the next 4 in which no teams in the NBA have done I believe.

There's been 3 in NBA history. Including OKC from last year against the spurs.

We're not OKC.

I believe that the Celtics will play much better at home. Why do I believe this? Because it has been the story the entire season.

Home numbers: 27-13, 98.5 ppg, gave up 94 ppg,

Away numbers; 14-27, 94.6 ppg, gave up 99.5 ppg

We are a very good home team and a bad road team. We will win both of these games at home.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I still believe in tha Celtics to win this series but I would like to see Doc use Lee on Smith and give T-Will playing time for his ball handling abilities. Shav should get some burn out there too.

If this team can cut down on their turnovers and start showing up in tha second half, they can turn this series around.

I meant being down 0-3 and then winning the next 4, taking it 4-3 in a Game 7. Of course being down 0-2 and winning the next 4 is possible, but unlikely, at least for the Celtics.

Doc needs to play Lee. Crawford is not going to save the C's if he gets abused at the other end. Avery needs to show up big and we need to give Shavlik a chance. Not sure about Willams.
