0-2 in 20 minutes, 0-1 from beyond the arc. 4-4 from the FT line - sadly our bench's only points. -9.

I like Courtney Lee and I am fond of his abilities - when he plays up to them. However, if this guy can't bring it together when it matters most, he (along with Terry) will prove to be busts on the season.

Might not be his fault given that his role changed when we lost Rondo, but c'est la vie. This guy better put up some points in game 2. That's what the Celtics need most right now.

Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but could that ankle injury have had an impact? I know there were some intra-team repercussions but I wouldn't think they'd have lasted this long...

We need him to hit his threes and play his D; one would reckon he's the perfect JR-stopper.

Ligaments take months to heal properly, bones a few weeks, hence a sprain is worse than a break.

Not that I think Lee is a bust, but he hasn't been no more a bust than Terry has been so far and I'm a Terry supporter.

Lee's defense can temporarily mask his lack of offense in a game but he has to score as well as defend.

He seems to be a headcase offensively. He struggled a LOT at the beginning and midway through the season, but seemed to do better around the ASB and prior when he wasn't thinking as much. Seems like his affliction has returned in the playoffs, but I could be wrong. A solid game two and a Celtic W would surely make up for it.

But it's nice to hope...

Right. And I thought his late burst against tha Heat would have given him tha confidence to continue scoring but he has taken a step back.

Let's just hope he can turn it around in game 2 and let it stick.

Given the bench issues and Pierce getting beaten by the faster Knick 2's, I'd seriously consider starting the pit bulls, moving Pierce back to the 3, and bringing Green off the bench. Green should still get his minutes, but I think the current lineup is not particularly good vs. the Knicks. Staring should help Lee as well re: geting regular minutes. The floor will be better spread for him playing with KG and Pierce, which should create some good driving lanes, too. He is simply too talented to not be playing better.
