If I was the Magics GM I offer my first pick this year (likely top 3) for Bledsoe.
The magic gain a young center piece PG. The Clip get a young talented player like McClemore, Noel, or Porter on a relatively cheap contract.
probably just me but I'm not as enamored with Bledsoe as many others seem to be. If Magic made that deal the GM should be fired.
I think if they get in the top 3, whoever they get would end up being a better player than Bledsoe.
I agree that Bledsoe isn't worth the top 3 pick suggested, but I think he could very well be as good if not better than those top picks.
It comes down to economics for me. Why pay Bledsoe a huge amount given that he isn't a sure thing and could very well just be a star bench player when you could take a guy who has similar upside on a rookie contract?
I don't think the Magic are anywhere near good enough that adding Bledsoe is going to suddenly put them over the top, even if he develops into an all-star talent. They are still too raw.
I do like Bledsoe though, he didn't wow me when he had the opportunity though when Chris Paul went down (solid but not outstanding play) which really hurt his stock in my opinion.
If I'm the Clippers I want to pair him with Caron Butler's contract and get a proven rotation guy in return rather than any pick. And the Magic should be happy to stockpile all the young talent they can find and still be rough enough to stay in the lottery and hope they can hit it big in the loaded 2014 class.
