I like the post Rondo starting 5 with
Green off the bench better than this projected playoff starting 5.
With Bass, KG, Pierce, AB, Lee, and Green Gang off the bench the Celtic went on a winning streak that had the ball moving and great defense.
The new 5 of Green,Bass,KG, AB, and Pierce looks VERY intriguing but I am concerned about the bench. I think Green might get lost in the starting rotation. I think he can be a game changer if he is the focus of the 2nd unit.
However, on paper the Celts could make a nice run.

What do you think?

I don't think that's much of an issue considering KG comes out after 5 minutes and PP not too long after that. Green will still be in the game so he's in the flow and becomes more of the focus at that point

I love the current starting 5. Watch for pick and rolls with Pierce and Green in the playoffs. One is guaranteed to be guarded by a smaller guard

Still love how they played right after Rondo's injury. The pit bulls, Lee and Bradley were pretty tough.

Keep in mind that the playoffs are about to start so there really isn't likely to be a "2nd unit".

We started off really well without Rondo directing traffic because everyone was playing freely, then Doc started running Ray Allen's plays for Jason Terry again and things starting going down hill.

That post rondo lineup doesnt get us very far, team needs Rondo in order to have any chance of being a contender.

With Doc already having publicly declared Jeff Green as a starter, I don't see him going back to the bench.  I think I'd prefer to see him start at the four in a Knicks series.  If we get by them and face either Brooklyn, Chicago, or Indiana in the second round, then I'd move him back to the two.

Well we didn't beat the heat with rondo so lets see how we play against them without him. It shall be fun.

I'd say bench Bass instead.  I mean, since Green and Bass are both poor rebounders - I rather play Green.  Especially against teams like Miami and Knicks

I totally think Green should come off the bench. Bench power is key.

Green is more of a "flow of the game" guy.  To be a sixth man, you have got to come out shooting.  Green is not that type of personality.  Bass likes shooting.  Green asks permission before he takes a shot.  Not the demeanor of a sixth man.  Ginobili, Terry, Crazy(I mean Crawford)....those are Alpha personalities.  Green is not like that.
