They're one game ahead of Dallas and Utah, but the Mavs are rolllling (7-3 in last 10). Utah also already won the season series. Blazers are also not far, but I think they want their draft pick.

Also, MWP is basically out for the year, so that may factor into this.

They play the Wolves tonight, who are coming off two huge road wins, but I believe LA has won 21 in a row in this series.

Even if they do make it to round 1,can they get past round 1? I'd think not.
Good thing we locked up our playoff seed ;)

The Green-Tinted glasses GF1819 hopes they DON'T make it. ;D

The basketball purist in me hopes they do - and we both make it to June 13, and get ONE MORE grudge match in.

LA vs BOS....no other series even matters, to me.

I don't have much faith in the Jazz, but the Mavs kind of snuck into the race now that Dirk is playing like Dirk again.  I'd love to see them overtake the Lakers for eighth.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

I want them to make it and lose the first round and get a dud of a pick!

TP. Green tinted glasses are great!

I'm torn about this subject... I want them in the Finals, too, but I'm liking a lot the possibility they are out of the playoffs, and the Suns get some revenge from the Nash move. I always liked Nash, and seeing him in a Faker uniform was disgusting, so a little payback would be great.

Either way, I want the Celtics in the Finals and I'd take any opponent. Go Celtics!

You do realize that the Lakers will not have a pick in this draft no matter what, right?

Here are the possible scenarios that can happen with the LA pick.

Quote
2013 first round draft pick to Phoenix
The L.A. Lakers will send the least favorable of their own 1st round pick (top-14 protected), Cleveland's own 2013 1st round pick, Sacramento's own 1st round pick (top-13 protected) and Miami's 2013 1st round pick to Phoenix. If the L.A. Lakers' 1st round pick is within the top-14 selections, Phoenix will automatically receive the L.A. Lakers' 1st round pick. [L.A. Lakers-Phoenix, 7/11/2012]

2013 first round draft pick to Cleveland
Cleveland has the right to swap the least favorable of their own 2013 1st round pick, Miami's own 2013 1st round pick (top-10 protected) and Sacramento's own 2013 1st round pick (top-13 protected) with the L.A. Lakers own 2013 first round pick (top-14 protected). If the L.A. Lakers own 2013 first round pick is #1-#14, then the L.A. Lakers' obligation to Cleveland shall be extinguished. [Cleveland-L.A. Lakers, 3/15/2012]

Basically, if LA misses the playoffs, Phoenix gets LA's 1st round pick.  If LA makes the playoffs, Phoenix will likely get Miami's 1st round pick (via Cleveland thru LA), and Cleveland would get LA's 1st round pick.

I would love to see LA miss the playoffs.

They play Dallas this weekend. If Dallas loses I consider Dallas toast. The Mavs have a very rough schedule. @ Indiana @ Chicago 2 games against Denver one home one road and like I said @ LAL. With that said im a Dirk fan and anti Lakers so I hope the Lakers do not make it even tho I think they will.

I've been thinking Dallas all year.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale
