Guys I don't live in the Boston area so I wonder if I may be missing some inside info. My question is what really happened with Darko. I'm not certain I've ever seen anything quite like what happened here. In pre season he seemed to be a player that would fill a hole on this team. He gets hurt and then never gets another shot. Then leaves the team for a family health problem. Now when the team needs a player like Darko no mention is made of his current status. Unless this guy was a total jerk ,why wouldn't we be in contact with him.Is there an inside story? Anyone ?

What games were you watching?  He has never lived up to his billing.   His mother got sick and he left the team to spend time with her.

We definitely do not need Darko because he never has panned out.  He is not that good.   I think we found that out that he is a big guy with little skills and let him go.

He never got a chance.
I say he could have given us more then Collins did.
same as Collins on D, better on O.

Will never buy this!!!!!!! Darko's preseason was generally portrayed by media and Doc himself, and in the games I saw, was quite good, leading myself and many other fans to believe he would be a big factor in the upcoming season. Doc himself even said that Darko may have been playing the best of his players early in the preseason, and his play had been "phenomenal", and that he was buying in to the Celtic way, and was no longer worried about trying to be a star, or worried about being called a bust. Simply doing the things he could do the best--passing, rebounding and blocking shots!
Then-POOF-"in the doghouse", for some unspoken crime! That coincided with a wrist injury---and he basically never saw the court again! After weeks of riding the pine, despite the fact we were DESPERATE for a big man, suddenly we heard of his sick mother, and he would have to leave the team to go home!
As far as talent, Darko was, and still would be the best true center(actually probably the ONLY), we've had on the team this year! Though never having become the star he was labeled sure to become, his basketball skills were far better than the FA's, DLeaguers, and overseas FA's that we've been hoping to sign recently!!!!!!!!!!!
True? Untrue? You decide. But many others have found their way into "Docs' Doghouse". We never get the real story, but I'll always believe that's what ran Darko out of town!
