I came across this show by accident and the second I found out it was British I almost turned it off thinking it would be a joke.  Well boy am I glad I didnt, because after watching 2 straight seasons Im happy to say that this show is absolutely brilliant. Its about a guy, John Luther, who is a very passionate detective as well as a genius (though he doesnt look it) who is often known to stretch the law  to solve cases.  Its incredibly thrilling and well produced, and though there are many cases he solves, the episodes all build on each other for a sort of linear story each season.

If you like really good shows then you should turn on netflix and give this show a peep.

it is one of the best crime dramas around. Idris Elba is killer. The only problem is that I've been waiting almost two years of the 3rd season, thankfully after this season they have a movie in the works.
