Look at his numbers this preseason:

(1) 16 pts & 6 assists
(2)  5 pts & 3 assists
(3) 15 pts & 7 assists
(4)  9 pts & 6 assists
(5) 13 pts & 4 assists
(6) 14 pts & 8 assists
(7)  1 pts & 3 assists
(8) 18 pts & 3 assists

Besides the 1 pts game he has been kind of steady and seems like he can offensive explosions. Do you think he is going to be good this year?

Likewise, I always liked him as a player too.  He always played very mature, played at his own pace.

I had a feeling he would be solid this season, but as suggested above we just didn't have room on the roster sadly.

Orlando lack quality depth behind Jameer Nelson at PG. Only have Moore and Ish Smith. Good chance for Moore to play regular minutes there.

I personally dislike hearing that statement. You know, that we did not have enough room for him, but we went out of our way to sign 3-4 guards this off season.

There was plenty of room for him and I am still shocked they traded him away.  He will be good this year.

Wasn't that there was no room, was because we needed matching money! After he was released by Hous he can't sign here for a year (well he has a 2yr contract now though lol).

When a player like Courtney Lee wants to come to this team, a player like E'twaun us expendable, and one would think a player of his caliber can be replaced.

We could have kept E'twaun, but more likely than not, he'd be riding the bench again.

He'll thrive in Orlando, but not for a contender, like Boston.
My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.

another 2 guard in a point guard body?  a mediocre playmaker and a poor defender of PG's. we have 4 back-up guys now who play the same position only all 4 are better at all skills..much more to offer...no reason we should care about Mr. Moore, he would be our 6th string PG or SG?

Preaseason stats do not matter.  Kid is gritty we all know that but preseason means nothing.

I still don't think he's very good.  Definitely not a rotation player on a real good team.

I agree with all the preseason comments, it really isn't a good measure. It's almost as bad as all the sports writers talking about Adam Morrison during summer league. These are glorified pickup games. If you watched any 4th quarter of any Celtics preseason game you were basically watching bad conference college ball.

As far as E'twaun goes, I think he was a good 3rd string guard, probably never a starter. He's not an efficient scorer which is one of the reasons he might thrive on a rebuilding team. E'Twaun is averaging 10.5 shots in those 8 games and getting about 11.38 ppg.

I know that article is old but it's a good indicator of what I'm talking about. E'Twaun is at the bottom of the league with that ratio and he's playing against preseason talent. If he plays against 2nd string talent he's looking at (in his division):

WSH: Crawford/Price
ORL: Reddick/Smith
MIA: Allen/Cole
CHA: Walker/Henderson
ATL: Williams/Teague

He's in the bottom half of those guys for sure and we got Courtney Lee who is a better guard than any of those guys listed except maybe Ray Allen and (the potential that is) Kemba Walker.

Danny worked miracles getting the PurDuo out of here and bringing in Courtney Lee. Easily the steal of the off-season.

Yep, but it is the truth.

When your existing backcourt consists of Rajon Rondo, Avery Bradley, Jason Terry, Courtney Lee and Leandro Barbosa...then you don't have room on your roster for E'Twaun Moore.
