Has There Ever Been a Report About the Celts Being Interested in Josh Smith?

And I'm not trying to be a wiseguy. I've seen plenty about how people think Smith would be a great fit for Boston etc..., but I haven't seen much about how the Celts actually feel about him.

I personally don't like Smith as a player, so I'm biased on the issue of attaining him.  I'm curious how Danny feels.  He seems to like the guys he has now, but we've seen he's willing to let go of those kinds of guys easily enough too.

Part of it is the Rondo and Smith connection. Part of it if I recall Smith has mentioned something along the lines of having interest in playing with the Celtics. Didn't he practice with the Celtics team a few months ago?

I haven't seen anything about Celtics side interested in him, but why would there be?

There are no current rumors, but there have been in the past, of the Celtics inquiring the Hawks about Smith, but that was last year, and that was for KG if I remember correctly.

Last year Smith said he was jealous of Celtics fans and how loyal they are to the team and he would like something like that, and he played flag football with the team in LA just before pre-season. Hence, Celtics fans alike have had all sorts of trade proposals for Smith even though there has been no reported interest in him.

He's a friend of Rondo and has spoken highly of the Celtics in the past.

That's it, really.  I don't think there has ever been anything solid about us returning that interest.
