I have a question about NBA's International League Pass. I know some games are blacked out because they appear on local tv. Here in Belgium, they are being broadcast by a paying tv channel, which I don't have. So I assume that I will not be able to stream the game while it is playing on that channel (which is broadcast at night).

However, will I be able to stream the game after it has been played and broadcast? Because I like to watch the game the day after, instead of at night. So far I used other sources to find and download the games, but I'm thinking about getting League Pass this year. But if this means I will only be able to see the Celtics beat the Raptors, Bobcats, etc... I don't really see the point.

Can anyone shed some light on this please? Or is there a trial period during which I could try it out, and decide if I like it or not?

Thanks!

The International League Pass is pretty awesome.

It allows you to watch every single game, live or on demand.  You can watch any game you want all the way through until the finals conclude.
Also, all game are shown live, you just select whatever game you want to watch, and it'll come up.  Doesn't matter if it is an ESPN, TNT or ABC national televised game, or a game that is televised on the local sport stations (like CSNNE).

I got it last year, and I don't think I could ever go back, the games usually come on during the day whilst I'm at work here in Australia, I just watch the games when I get home.

Well worth the $200 odd IMO.

Hope this helps.

Ive had international league pass the last 3 seasons and its been getting more expensive each year so these 200+ dollars are the last straw for me personally.

If you have a nice laptop with unlimited broadband its easy to watch live with streams and download games afterwards if you cant see them live.

Hi.. I from Denmark, so I can't say that my experience will necessarily mean that you'll have the same, but I can at least share it.

I've had League Pass since 2008, and as others have noted, it has indeed gotten much more expensive since then. However, the quality in the product has also increased, so I will not complain. In Denmark there is only one game broadcast per week, which is the Sunday matinee game. In the cases that the Celtics have been playing those, I have never occured a blackout, although I am positive that the channel has the rights. This applies to e.g. the all-star event, playoff games as well.

In any case, I'm positive that you'll be able to stream the games after the blackout. But, again, my experience is that the blackouts are warned, but I have never actually experienced them myself.

And, usually there's a 14 days trial right around the start of the season. The length and quality of this may change, and as far as I remember, it's probably announced pretty late. If you want to be safe, just buy the month-to-month subscription, but otherwise, I'd go for the full package right away - that's what I've done!
