Don't know if this is still true, but man I'd LOVE to finally have an NBA team here - especially SAC.

We'd have a premier young Big right here in our backyard - about a good 30 min away I'm guessing.

VIRGINIA!?

Well, that's completely out of left field.  I mean, where would they even put a team in Virginia?  Surely can't put one in the DC area, with the Wizards already being there.  I don't think there are any other cities populated enough to support a team.

Is NBA basketball even that popular outside of the Northeren VA/DC area?

That would be my guess, Milwaukee to the Northwest with Portland moving to the Pacific. 

Virginia in the Atlantic and Toronto moving to the Central.

The more I think about the NBA in Virginia the more I like it. Bring back The Squires and hire an ABA guy like Larry Brown as the teams coach.

I agree...but it all comes down to public funding for arenas.  If they are leaving Sacramento because they can't get the new arena, they aren't going to go to Seattle and deal with the same issue.
