I think people are putting WAY too much stock in AB.  He didn't win the starting job from Ray last year; it was handed to him because of injury and no other choice.  Give him credit for playing well as a starter, but it was ONLY 20 games.  The C's expected to lose Ray and that's why Terry was a top FA priority.  Now after signing Jet, why would the C's still be aggressively shopping for yet another SG; and not just one to fill garbage minutes, but a guy who's been consistently getting 30min/game?  I don't believe C's management is as confidnet about AB as the people on these boards.  Lee and Jet are also getting paid salaries for guys who play 25-30 minutes; not guys who play 15-20.

AB = huge question mark.

I think they are setting things up as if he is a part time defense sub, instead of a starter. It may take a year to get him back to the minutes he was seeing.

If it happens this way, that should mean good news for the C's.  Unless AB's game has deteriorated somehow, he'll be getting fewer minutes because Lee and JET are earning time.  That sounds good to me.

Or at least Lee and JET are not playing themselves out of the rotation.

AB comes back in mid-Dec, let's say there are set backs, maybe later. Plus some time to get in shape and get in sync with new team mates. If things are going well, I just don't think Doc makes a big change.
