"How is Doc going to handle minutes/rotation this year?"

same as usual:  run older players into ground.  Next game, repeat.

A three guard rotation of Rondo, Terry and Bradley.

A two man wing rotation of Pierce and J.Green.

The starting bigs are KG and Bass. The backup minutes are up for grabs. I expect Doc to use two big men to create a 9 man rotation.

might be a 4 guard rotation if the can nab lee. he is too good not to play...I think Sully will see good minutes behind bass

Wilcox and melo/FA backs up KG

Doc plays his starters more than any other coach in the league.  The depth of his bench is not ging to change his style.

  • I drink and I know things
Rondo 35
Bradley 25
Terry 25
Pierce 28
Green 30
Bass 25
KG 28
Wilcox 15
Sitemsma/Darko/whoever 10
Sullinger 13
Scrubs - 6

If we get a Lee or Mayo this obviously changes some.

This is my guess at the rotation, I had previously posted it on the subject of better Rip Hamilton. Rip can be replaced with Lee or mayo. I also assumed that Pietrus is resigned.

without AB (not figuring Darko)
PG RR   35min, Terry 13min
SG RIP  20min, Terry 17min, Pietrus 11min
SF PP   28min, Green 20min
PF Bass 30min, Green 10min, Sully 8min
C  KG   28min, Wilcox 15min, Sully 5min

with AB
PG RR   34min, Terry 14min
SG AB   23min, Terry 12min, RIP 8min
SF PP   25min, Green 18min, RIP 5min
PF Bass 30min, Green 10min, Sully 8min
C  KG   28min, Wilcox 15min, Sully 5min
Mavs
Wiz
Hornet

Do people really think Pierce is going to be playing less MPG than Green?

In order for the Cs to push deep in the playoffs he is going to have to. With the depth this team has KG and Pierce need to limit there regular season minutes. They both should be able to take nights off throughout the season and the backups should be capable of beating the bottom half of the league.

example

C   Wilcox
PF  Bass
SF  Green
SG  AB
PG  RR
6th Terry
7th Sully
8th Pietrus ?

when healthy this would be a very competitive team in th eeast. PP and KG make them a great team.

Pierce wont take too many nights off if healthy he always said too many nights off destroy his rhythm

Wilcox and Bass's poor rebounding and defense would make us a pretty bad team.

I don't see Pierce playing less MPG thank Green, maybe less total minutes if he gets games off or has injuries but not MPG.

Yeah if he's healthy he'll play 32-34 minutes at SF every game.
