I agree Lee would look great in a C's uniform and he is young!

I have no problem giving up a 1st thats going to be used in a weak draft like next year. Get Lee Danny!

I fully expect the Celtics to get in on this Magic/Lakers/Rockets deal going on and get Lee out of it. If you help facilitate Bynum to the Rockets, the less you have to give up for Lee.

I wish we could somehow do something to get Lee + Dalembert, but we don't have enough sign and trade pieces.

Blakely seems to think he may be out of our range.  Talk of going to Dallas but Dallas just signed two guards :-\

The first step is convincing Lee to sign here.  I don't think the negotiations with Houston will be all that difficult once that hurdle is overcome.

I think he already is. As long as the money is right - which is only possible with a S&T - it's just a matter of what Houston wants.

I don't think our pick is going to make or break Howard going to LA. I wouldn't not pull the trigger on Lee for the fear of it helping pave the way. Maybe it will give Morey  more of a reason to deal for Howard himself?

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.

I agree.

Besides, Howard is maybe a baker's dozen inches ahead of Bynum in terms of defense. Bynum is already more dominant than Howard offensively. On the other coast, Lee would do wonders for this team. A Rondo, Bradley, Lee combo would be one of the best defensive line-ups in the NBA.

I believe Dalembert got traded to the Bucks if I remember right...yup "Dalembert was traded to Milwaukee on Wednesday, Yahoo!'s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Spin: Along with the 14th overall pick, Dalembert heads to Milwaukee for the 12th overall pick, Jon Brockman, Jon Leuer, and Shaun Livingston. Dalembert could start at center for the Bucks, who have been without a true center since trading Andrew Bogut midseason."

great points but we cant do that it might.. *gasp* help the lakers. And you know worrying about that is more important than the betterment of our team of course?

I don't quite understand this line of thinking. We're only helping Houston in the Dwight Howard competition by giving them a first. The Lakers are already in position for Dwight with a package centered around Bynum. Houston is aiming for Howard first, and Bynum second. We'd only be facilitating a move for the Rockets to get either Howard or Bynum. Plenty of teams would be willing to move assets for Bynum, so if the Magic don't want him, some team will step in to be the third team.

Which means trying to obtain Courtney Lee screws the Lakers!  :D

A player picked around 24/25 most likely isn't going to be as good as Lee anyway. Sign me up.

Agreed. We already have enough youth and projects. we dont need anyone more young projects to work with. Rather get the veteran experience.
