Bye Bye Ray - Players Celts Should Focus On (realistic options)

Now that Ray made his decision to be Pat Riley's lap dog and carry Lebron's jock strap for the finish to his career. We need to focus on the pieces to the puzzle.  Based on the salary cap restrictions, here are my thoughts on who we should focus on:

Guards

Courtney Lee (might be tough)
Sonny Weems
Michael Redd
Sam Young
Jerryd Bayless
Alonzo Gee

Forwards / Centers

Mickael Pietrus
Chris Wilcox
Elton Brand (may take less because he will still get his salary from sixers)
Greg Stiemsma
Ian Mahinmi

I like Sam Young. Probably more as a fifth wing in the depth chart than as the primary backup two guard. I think he'd be a good addition to the team.

Totally agree. Would love to see another wing defender added to deal with Lebron/Wade/Ray and Young's got some grit.

at the 4/5 I'd like to see (and think we will) Stiemsma and Wilcox both brought back. If MIN gets crazy with an offer to Stiemsma, I could see bringing Hollins back as a plan B. He's not great but he (like many a big before him (Dean Garrett, Ervin Johnson, Kendrick Perkins)) plays better alongside KG than he ever did in CHA, etc.

I love Rashard Lewis for short money as a back-up shooting guard; that could really address the issues with the small back-court.

I'd also love to see Wilcox back. Ian Mahimi is also a nice player, and could be a good back-up for KG. Finally, I would really like to re-sign Sean Williams.

I am not interested in R. Lewis. Let him join the Heat.  

I was thinking Meeks. I just worry he is a one trick pony. We had one of those last year (that would be you Ray) and I do not think we should follow that same path.  

I would love to land Lee, Wilcox and Brand.
