I'm really, really shocked at Ray's decision, baffled actually.

1. How can you compete with guys at the level they have and then walk on those guys (KG, Pierce, Rondo - yes even Rondo) and go to probably our most hated rival in the Heat.

2. As someone else said, he was dangled in trades? - no one else was? Pierce or Rondo? Pierce is a Celtic legend and he's been dangled plenty..get over it, it's a business and at the end of the day they were giving you a two year, $12 million deal with trade protection, which expresses their respect, today, for you - and a chance to accomplish something legendary - another ring on a "heavily: re-loaded team - and being raised to the rafters if you get that ring.

3. Management dangled him - he didn't like the way Ainge dangled him the last few years - Ok, I get that. But still, stick it to KG and pierce after five years?

4. Don't like Rondo - BOO HOO - you think McHale and Bird like each other? You don't have to be Rondo's girlfriend - you just need to make Magic on the court - which they did.

5. You don't like the reduced role - can't stomach a young gun in Bradley stepping up to help you carry the load when you're a 37 year old off guard? I don't know what to tell you.

Now, what would I do if I were the Celtics, knowing Miami is one of the major teams standing in my way in the East?

What do I do as a competitor?

1. I now, more than ever, absolutely break the bank to load up this team.

2. I go after an vet off guard with length to pair with Bradley.

3. I grab a center

4. Basically, I break the bank and an all out war with Miami to give myself the best chance at sticking it to them come playoff time.

These next two years are our best shot at another title before truly revamping the team.

I go ALL IN financially.

We're over the cap and we've spent our MLE. All we have is min contracts, the BAE and what we give our own FAs. The only "all in" move we could do is maybe sign Krstic.

Oh yeah, and don't like Rondo directing you around the court? The kid is one of the best points in the league and in my opinion and also Cousy's opinion, potentially one of the all time great play making point guards to grace an NBA court.

The only question I'd have for Rondo is "where the F am I supposed to be on this play?"
