Ray Allen doesn't deserve this much attention from loyal Celtic fans. He did not leave us in a way a loyal Celtic should or would. I for 1 do not or will not feel like a jilted now angry bitter former lover! That's what he wanted us to feel! He played with the hearts of his former brothers who gave everything to win with him & these same brothers often cried when they couldn't deliver together. KG, Pierce, Rondo & Doc were all in all the time. KG sacrificing his knees, Pierce sacrificing personal individual fame & scoring, Rondo playing on 1 arm when most guys woulda cashed it in. And Doc taking time away from seeing his daughter play volleyball & watching & attending to Austin full-time to be a True Celtic! Ray had 1 foot out the door the whole time with his eye on Miami living & therefore he couldn't be all he could be here anymore. His focus was lacking & his production plummeted because of it. Missing FT's from Ray demostrates that fact! He's gone now & he won't occupy any space in my mind from here on out! Not worth it really! His skills has deminished, his lift which he needs for shot effectiveness has eroded. And the man behind the words wasn't quite what we thought. So exactly what are we losing? Ray allen is laughing at all of you fans feeling hurt & he's probably reading this site secretly pounding his chest in sel gratification thinking we are gonna fail without him. There will be no curse of Ray Allen here once his behind puts on a Heat Jersey. Let Ray Allen fade to black & disappear just like the only organization who will retire hsi number, which is the Seattle Supersonics! Exactly who are they again? That's how we should now feel about Ray Allen. Have fun wearing a jersey of a team that doesn't exist anymore in your hall of fame speech, because the Celtics greats past & present will no longer accommodate you & wish you the greatest farewell you could have received!

Two things: paragraphs are your friend, and we'll have something else to talk about on Monday when the summer league games start.

I agree with everything you said in regards to Ray.  But none of us can pretend that we aren't mad and/or bitter about the situation.  I'm not going to fake it and act like it doesn't bother me because you think that it's how "Ray wants us to feel".

Let us vent and say what we think right now.  Our thoughts will   slowly drift towards the team and the upcoming season, but it's  not an instantaneous process.  At the end of the day we all care about Banner #18, which makes Ray leaving even more devastating.  We lost an important piece of the team who would have helped us regardless of what anyone says.  On top of that we all hoped he would retire a Celtic.  To make matters worse, it's not like we can use the money to bring in a new player of relatively equal value.
