for Nicholas Batum.  Is there anyway the Celtics can put together a package to get Derrick Williams?  Keep in mind Minny are gonna sign Stiemsma.

Minnesota's considered pitching a Derrick Williams-Martell Webster sign-and-trade for Nic Batum, sources say. Portland would reject it.

I don't think we have anything that Minnesota wants that much.  Also, I'm sure that they know that if they give Stiemsma $2 million per season that he's theirs, as we won't be able to match that.

I'd really like to see Derrick Williams (PF) alongside LaMarcus Aldridge (C).

Please make that trade. It is a lot more interesting than what they have with Batum.

That would be a very difficult combination to matchup against. The shooting range. The quickness. Lillard's explosive scoring at PG. A strong foundation to build one of the best offensive teams in the league.

Im not really impressed with Lillard.  I think he has high bust potential.

They seem to prefer Hibber and Aldridge

Williams so far (granted it's only been one year)has not proven he's a player in the league.  That's why the T-Wolves have offered him around in varous deals for Pau and others.  BTW to me WIlliams is not a PF.  He's a tweener really not a PF but not quick enough to be a SF.

Williams had a nice rookie season. The Wolves need a good SF and they have a crowded frontcourt. The best that we could do is offer Jeff Green and a pick, I think.

I like Williams, but we are also crowded at PF with Bass, Garnett, and Sullinger. Also like Minn, we need a SF. Williams can play there, but he's better suited to PF as Minnesota knows.

Can we offer Green in a S and T.  I thought only players on the roster can be Signed and Traded.

No. Has to have ended the season with us.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

What could we offer and wouldn't this be a step back? We'd likely have to move Pierce, they want a SF and a big name. So we get a very talent PF, make no mistake @ 250lbs he is PF. Long, but only 6'9" with a great jumper. Be a wonderful pick & pop threat like Bass. A good rebounder, not a great one, and young.

In about 1-2 years he could be an all-star PF, but we need to compete this season. I love the idea, but not with the direction we are taking. Perhaps if KG had retired this would be a good idea, trade off everyone but Rondo and load up on young talent and see if we can develop some all-stars.
