I don't believe this for a second.  Might there be other players that Danny would prefer over Ray?  Sure.  That's why he almost traded him a few times (though clearly he didn't prefer them, or trades would've happened).

The difference here is that with the MLE burned, it's the difference between Ray at 2 years 12 million or someone else at the minimum. 

That's a huge difference in terms of talent. 

Danny most definitely does want Ray back.  No GM would be fool enough to prefer a minimum scrub over Ray Allen.

If you asked every GM in the league if they wanted Ray Allen they would all say YES.  He can help any team.

What people seem to ignore is the fact that his ability to fit in with any team makes him extremely valuable to opposing teams.  As I mentioned earlier, his contract also wasn't as big of an obstacle as KG or Pierce's.

RayAllen1934,  I've never seen any one poster take something (or one specific player) to heart so much.  I mean, this by far surpasses the "Great Rondo Love-Hate Debate" that has been raging for the past few years.

It's fine, it's your right.  Understand though, those of us that will have a "no love lost" feeling if Ray bolts, have every right to feel as we do also.

If you are going to continue to insist on battling everyone "to the death", by all means, continue.  I have to say, your posts have been providing me with hours of humor and entertainment.

Still, 8,011 Ray Allen threads does seem a little unnecessary to me.  The only thing left of this dead-horse are few bone shards at this point.
