This may come off as weird,

but I just made an account today (I'm 50 posts and 4 TP's in ;D) after following this sight religiously for about 3 years now. And when I say religiously, I mean every day, sometimes all day. Going through the forums, posts from the original Delonte era, and all.
I'm posting this just to make a couple observations and praise and such.

This is an amazing website, easily the best on SBNation imo. This is a legitimate community, and it's much better and more subtle than facebook and all that social media bologna, along with EVERY other sports blog I've joined (which has to be in the 50s at this point).

Reading the forums like it's my job, I couldn't help but start to notice and recognize some Celticsbloggers here, and I can't help but compare it to the actual Celtic organization haha. There are the vets, legends, role players and unknown rookies and 10 day contract guys. (right now I'm Chris Wilcox for some reason?) I honestly look up to Roy Hobbs like he's some type of blogging Doc Rivers. And Bass Thumper's straight up cool as the other side of the pillow. I feel like I just signed with the team, after years of observation and respect for the organization. (Pietrus? Josh Smith hopefully?)

So, bravo to whoever created this website, specifically the forums, and all those who made it what it is today, and maybe, just maybe one day I can shoot up in the ranks  ;).

Have a good one,

AshyLarry

Haha, TP AshyLarry for the nice post. I've been on more lately too and it's been really enjoyable. It's easily the best sports community I've seen around.

Welcome aboard; it's great to have you here.  Very flattering.  There's a lot of irony being compared to Doc Rivers, if only because most of my early posts on here were probably bashing him.  (I still think he should have played Big Al and Perk together more!)

Thanks for the post AshyLarry.  It's amazing to me how many people do just what you said you've (read things here religiously, but prefer not to contribute).

Glad you decided to contribute.  It is indeed a unique place.

And to answer your question Jeff Clark is responsible for creating CB many moons ago.
Yup

Wow, he's really committed, but that makes sense. I need to give him flowers or something one day.

Thanks Roy. I was going to say Kevin Garnett, but I don't think anyone can really be compared to Garnett in any sense haha.

Nice post, AL, and thanks for signing on!

Sounds like you know good stuff when you see it, and as you're probably aware by now, most of us are pretty partial to this site as well, and Jeff, et al, have built a first-class Celtics community with decency and mutual respect at it's core.

The rules may be a bit more stringent than some, but that's part of what gives this place it's integrity and character, that and just plain ol' good people.

I've made some lifelong friends here, and after a long, hard day, it's almost a home-away-from-home, and a nice place to hang your electronic hat, if you will, and a friendly place to stay up-to-date with the team we all love.

Every blog is only as good as it's membership and staff, and this one has the best of both, IMHO. Awesome to have you onboard ... looking forward to you being one of the "regulars", (oh, and a TP, of course)!

I agree with everything you just said Bahku. This site has character, just like the team everybody on it loves.

Also, I'd like to add that the whole Tommy Point system is absolutely genius! It's like the cherry on top of an awesomeness cake.
