Ha.  I read further in the thread.  So, supposedly the guy he talked to was Doc Rivers now.

If Celtics Thug and Deli Guy had a surrogate baby with Crotor, it would still have more credibility than this "rumor".

Also Doc is going to be at the draft with Austin tonight so he may not even be in boston
why on earth would he do that... regardless if its his son or not he still has a JOB. He has a team to focus on.

His job is to coach that team, not to draft the players. Danny and his squad of scouts have certainly talked to Doc about their drafting and trading plans, and he has given the green light to everything. Doc has absolutely no obligation to the team to be there, as he is not involved in personnel decisions. It's his son, it would be very unlike Doc to be anywhere else tonight.
2023 Historical Draft: Toronto Raptors

Point Guard: Anfernee Hardaway, Fat Lever, Terrell Brandon
Shooting Guard: Paul Westphal, Paul Pressey
Small Forward: Marques Johnson, Danny Granger
Power Forward: Jermaine O'Neal, Bobby Jones, Kiki Vandeweghe
Center: Marc Gasol, Serge Ibaka

Tell me one possible negative way the Celtics could be affected by Doc Rivers sitting with his son as opposed to sitting in the Celtics war-room.

So, it wouldn't be wrong of me to assume this is nothing more than a poor attempt at getting attention, right?

I mean, nothing of substance is even conveyed.

Well, apparently if Danny doesn't keep an eye on him, Doc starts blabbing our draft strategy to random strangers on the street.  The potential negative consequences are huge if an opposing GM gets that info.  ::)

The next time something of substance is conveyed on Real BM will be the first time.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Don't worry about it.  Do you honestly believe that Doc Rivers is telling random strangers on the street that KG isn't coming back, when neither Rivers or KG has indicated that publicly?

Take it for what you will, and just for the record I'm super duper excited about this, but I read a rumor on the internet from a anonymous poster with no source, that DA is planning on blowing up the roster tonight and trading for Big Al, Perk, and resigning Delonte to a long-term deal.   :P

Celtic Thug, in his less literate form?  Maybe he learned that when you give details, you can be called out on it when you're wrong.  If you just post about "insider excitement", though, you can never be wrong.

Actually, that seems a little too literate for Celtic Thug. Notice the compound sentence structure, and the liberal use of "man oh man".

Seems more like CROTOR's work to me.
lol... i know these words.

Yeah, GM's are just as likely to believe any of this as you are. :)

There's some sort of rumor like this every year. Has even one of them had any substance? Thought not.

Danny said yesterday that Doc was with his son in Washington (I believe that's where)... this is not at all credible, why would Doc come back just to tell someone willy-nilly off the streets plans they don't tell people who really are close to them???
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Nah, the OP didn't do anything wrong.  He clearly labeled it as a rumor started by a message board poster.  Nothing wrong with that.

I do think the idea of Doc giving random strangers inside information is a little comical, though.

And he has a son who going to experience one of the best and most important moments of his life. It is just a job. No job should be more important than your family.
