I disagree that this team has another title run in them. Winning a championship stars with having a dominant superstar player(s). KG was that guy for much of the playoff run but he eventually wore down and the Celtics fell short. Pierce doesn't have the gas to finish off teams with his scoring consistently. Rondo is an impact player but he doesn't have a consistent scoring game.

The Celtics also caught a few key breaks in this run, even though they were hampered by injuries. Horford being out, not having to face the Bulls, having Bosh injured. As much as Green/Bradley would've helped the truth of the matter is that the NBA playoffs is not about "bench play" or role players, it's about stars being stars.

If I'm Ainge this off-season will be the beginning of a youth movement. Keeping the core together is going to be at best a second or third round exit.

Ainge has to find fits to make a good bench, this year we had a poor bench, no one has helped, look for good players and make a competitive roster.

 Dooling, Hollins=0.

Not Dooling. Or Hollins really. Health issues forcing bench players to play out of their roles was the issue. (Jeff Green and Wilcox both out with heart problems? What the heck!)

I don't think this team, can beat the Heat.

Well considering the Heat were one quarter away from being eliminated from the playoffs by this core, seems kind of an odd statement.

Here's a few ways they could extend this run

1) Bring Back KG and Ray on 1 year deals with options for the second (coinciding with the time Pierce has left on his deal)
2) Bring back Jeff Green
3) Sign Greg Oden to a little more than the Vet Minimum since no one will sign him to any more than that (make sure this guy can play and really limit his minutes around 5-10 minutes a game, otherwise pass)
4) Trade both firsts to get up into the lower part of the lottery and take a falling star like Rivers or Sullinger (Would prefer Sullinger due to the height)
5) Keep Dooling Wilcox Steamer (as long as he doesn't receive some insane offer)
6) Sign and trade Bass if the team gets Sullinger or a PF in the draft to get future assets (future 1st rounder for 13 or 14).
7) KEEP RONDO

That's all
