I'd greatly prefer Smith to Young. A much better rebounder/possession creator, can moonlight as a lead guard and, while streaky, can reach a higher level than Young when he's on.
But yes, I'd take either player.

JR Smith or Nick Young?
Nick Young plays All Star defense. When I say All Star, I mean All Star game defense.
KG would love that.
JR Smith couldn't get himself thrown out of the CBA, although he did try hard.
Why take a chance on guys like these when the current team was built around solid character guys. The worst thing Danny could do would be to start the transition/rebuilding process around knuckleheads.

Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I'd pass.
One dimensional players with questionable character.
Neither of them are starters on a championship team.

Only if that player can become more committed to defense than scoring.

Sign n trade Ray with a 2 Round pick to LAC for NYoung
I have read nothing of Nick being a knucklehead other than the fact he played for the Wizards..

I'd say that Tony Allen did pretty well here, but he made me nervous. I like guys who I trust to consistently make good decisions with the ball -- not guys who make occasional spectacular plays but you get agida every time the ball is in their hands. This is why I was lukewarm on Antoine Walker and why I am lukewarm on Josh Smith. I undertand the appeal, but I much prefer less flash and more solid.

While we're at it maybe we can get Artest, Blatche, the snitchster, Cousins, Arenas etc.
Is Blount and Gin Baker still out there?
