I bet Brooklyn makes him a big offer.

Agree. 4 yrs 32 mil or so sounds legit.

And if he is actually the player he was this season, it's a steal. His skill set tops out as an improved Ryan Andersen, with a little less rebounding.

But you've gotta be skeptical with the ups and downs of his nba career, that's a risky bet.

Can Brooklyn possibly land both Dwight Howard and Ilyasova to go with Deron Williams?

I hope Brooklyn doesn't sign Ilyasova. I don't think he and Brook Lopez would be good together. Two players I like individually ... I'd hate to see them get in one another's way.

Each player needs more of a defensive presence alongside them.

Bring back Semih and sign him. Dominating the paint in Boston?? That's nobodies business but the Turks!

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
not sure how those numbers will translate here, doc doesn't like to crash the boards and ersan main edge in rebounding was offensive and teams will have more time to prepare for him next year without the short schedule, and they will make certain that they match up with him in transition.

lol that's a really presumptious summary of his talents/potential.
Think about him in the paint with no Bogut and just Garnett.
Then think about Bass hitting those 15 footers. This is a guy that can hit those, but also move out to the three point line like Lamar Odom.
Finally, imagine him taking passes around the basket and alley oops from Rondo instead of ballhog/chucker Brandon Jennings.
He could EASILY average 20/10 with Rondo in my opinion.
We'd also be able to create more space for our slashers with him moving out as a 'stretch' 4.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I'd rather give him $10M per year than split that $10M between Bass and Ray Allen.

Laughing out loud on that one.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Don't get too fired up about Ersan. The guys at BrewHoop seem pretty cool to him and do NOT want to overpay him (past 8mm seen as too much for most). Can't find many dissenting opinions in the 127 comments either. He will be overpaid by someone, I don't want it to be us, judging by these comments.

They also have a mediocre team where Illyasova wouldn't help much because they are still not good enough to make the playoffs . Plus they also have to pay Monta Ellis next year.

I just think that with Rondo Illyasova could be a very efficient 18/10 type power forward who fits perfectly with Rondo moving forward and would be phenomenal next to KG I believe.

I would pay him 10 mil per if thats what it took for 3 years , I wouldn't go over 10 mil though.

Ya i could see this. I wouldnt mind having him but I dont think he is much more than a role player however. I would not go above 7 mil a year for him though. And if Bass wants to stick around here for another year at 4 million, there is no way i decline that. If we could get Ersan i would love to have bass as our first option off the bench.

He is not good enough to clog long term dollars.

If the Celtics had the star next to Rondo for the future, maybe.
