I think this is great news.  Keep Gronk around as long as Brady is here and Gronk could go down as the best to ever play the position.

This contract kicks in after the two years remaining on his rookie deal.  Glad we got this one taken care of early.

This is why they had Brady restructure his contract -- to free up space for a big signing bonus for Gronk.

Seems like a good deal. Fair to both sides, with outs along the way for the Pats in case of injuries.

The question is which player do they focus on next? Welker? Hernandez? Chung? Personally, I'd like to see them sign Chung to an extension.
