Yes...I know i'm overreacting. But right now...why not? Get Jeff Green and Avery Bradely, and a good rebounding defensive center and maybe we could be in this position again.  ::)

I'd bring this team back until they needed wheelchairs on the court.  I love this group of guys.

As a coach, you pray for an incredible collection of will and competitors like this.

You'd hope Ray would consider a reasonable number to finish it here.

And, this team desperately needs a Paul Silas type to come in and crash the boards. I'm not locked into a 5, given the skill Garnett has displayed there. A glass-eating 4 would be fine.

From a financial front-office standpoint, you basically have to bring them back, I think.  There's no real opportunity to start the rebuilding process this offseason, barring an absolute sweetheart of a trade just falling into our laps.  Much better to give these guys short contracts for one or two more years than to overpay players who aren't good enough to be building blocks.

I've always felt it would be a mistake to break this team up.

There's a rational reason for wanting to bring back Ray Allen, because Bradley's timetable recovery is such that a setback could have him missing the start of the season.  If the Celtics get two out of: Jeff Green returning and being effective, one of the better uses in the league of the MLE, or drafting a player who ends up being a reasonable candidate for the NBA All-Rookie team, then there is every reason to think the team can be a contender.

I'm actually more concerned about three-point shooting than I am about rebounding.
